Scalpings are typically produced from crushed limestone or granite and are used to create a solid foundation for your patio or driveway. We would suggest that you lay a minimum depth of 150mm of Scalpings suitably compacted in order to ensure a firm foundation on most ground types.

The minimum order for loose loads is 10 tonnes. Orders of 10 tonnes or more can be delivered loose in a tipper truck which can work out as a less expensive option especially if you are covering a large area. A 10 tonne load is 7m³ and will cover approximately 47m² of ground if laid 150mm deep.
